On this last day of Black History Month, we recognize one of the most beloved duos in both stage and cinema—Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee.  Married for 56 years before his death in 2005, they each appeared in more than 100 movies and television series, often together.  Ruby Dee is the second oldest and only one of 16 Black actresses nominated for an Academy Award for her role in American Gangster.  ~j

Why I surprised myself and ended up liking The Karate Kid Remake: 1. All POC’s save for one white man and one white kid that have barely a few minutes of on screen/interaction time. 2. Jackie Chan got hella intense and delivered during some serious scenes (for real tho, I almost cried). And 3. Jaden & Wenwen as the ridiculously adorable Dre and Meiying engaging in young love cutesiness. Just stop it you two! But don’t really, because you’re the future of poclove :)
